Georgia Food Stamp Program

If you havent gottent you food stamp money by today I suggest you call you caseworker. Under the new system that started this month they are distributed according to the last 2 didgets of your case number between the 1st to the 15th so if you didn't get them today something is definitly wrong. My last 2 digtis are 74 and I get mine on the 12th.

I could realy use some good advice.

I am a single father of an eight year old girl. I lost my job three weeks ago. I am a truck driver by trade but can only work localy becase I need to be home daily to take care of my daughter. I have applied for and have been excepted to a postion as a corretional officer at the local prision. Unfortunatly the job does not start untill January as the prisons construction is in the final stages as we speak. I do not qualify for unemployment as my prevous job was as contract labor. I looked into TANF but it only pays $250 a month and then only if I work 4-40 hour weeks. I am not oposed to working but $250 is less than my rent of $300 and I feel my time could be better utilized looking for work even temp work. I have been tierlessly searhing the internet for a work at home job to get by but I have mostly found scams and dead ends. I have found a few mystery shops and some serveys but none pay much. I have applied for a few payday loans but until it gets a lot closer to starting the new job I am out of luck there.
I have started getting food stamps but only got them started 2 days ago. Between buying food for the past three weeks, power, phone, car insurance and the $200 I spent on the stuff to get the securty officer job (physical, birth certificate, mvr, fingerprinting, ect.) I have $250 left in my checking and my rent is one week past due already.
Understand I am not down and out just yet but I am nervous as I realy need to come up with about $750 to make it through untill the job starts. Any sugestions would be most welcome.
